Photo-based Art Series

— Acid Rain in the Emperor’s Bedroom

This series is a work that inlays layers into pictures of now-deserted, but previously glorious Mughal palaces. The pictures are vandalised by hand to reveal the hints of its glorious past with work that has gold leaf and precious metals

— The Green DIagonal

This series has abstract minimalist photography that is animated by a vivid diagonal paint line that intercepts the near-nothingness in the photo to give it dynamic graphic tension

Here I use classical Persian and Urdu poetry of the mystical genre to make calligraphy that is abstract, attempted or simply abandoned mid-way
